A light we carry forward.
About Us
Established in 2016, the Foundation grew from a growing awareness of how many people are deprived of opportunities that others may have been fortunate enough to receive. This conviction was strengthened through close exposure to the lives of factory workers and their families.
Inspired by the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Foundation is guided by the values of compassion, dignity, and service. Its work focuses on creating opportunities for education and growth, while addressing health, nutrition, and other challenges that disproportionately affect underserved communities.
At the heart of the Foundation’s work is a simple purpose - to awaken hope and dignity among those who have been left with fewer opportunities, and to help create the conditions in which people can learn, grow, become more independent, and thrive.
Sahgal Foundation was founded on a simple belief - that access to opportunity should never be determined by circumstance.
